I was involved in presales, requirements gathering, architecture design, development, UX, team leadership, mentoring, giving training courses and recruitment. Software engineer: I joined a cloud computing consultancy in 2012 as a senior software engineer where I lead commercial projects from concept to completion.My time here improved my research, planning, writing and communication skills. I then worked as a postdoctoral researcher on semantic web research and development. Researcher: I completed a PhD in software verification at Edinburgh University in 2010, which included publishing papers and teaching courses.I’ve been self-learning programming before high school and haven’t stopped since! In 2004, I completed a Software Engineering degree at Edinburgh University where I finished top of my year. Student: I grew up in Edinburgh and I’ve loved coding since I was young.
